- The purpose of this game is to navigate through the minefield by moving (no need to click) your mouse over those verbs that have irregular past tense forms.
- If you move over a regular verb by mistake, you will set off a mine and you will have to start all over again.
- Regular verbs are those that add '-d' or '-ed' to the base form of the verb (= infinitive without 'to):
- like - liked
- listen - listened
- stopped - stopped (for more on doubling of consonants, go here.)
- Irregular verbs are those that do not follow the above rule:
- go - went
- are - were
- hit - hit
