Here are some of the most common errors using the -self pronouns. They are also called reflexive pronouns because they reflect back or refer to the subject of the verb.

Don't pay for me. I'll pay for myself.

Don't pay for me. I'll pay for  me. 

We use myself, yourself, himself, etc. to refer back to the subject. This is known as a reflexive pronoun. It reflects back to the subject of the verb. See list above

I hope we enjoy ourselves.

I hope we enjoy  ourself. 

The plural form of self is selves, so be careful when the subject is plural.

You and Aki can pay for yourselves.

You and Aki can pay for  yourself. 

If `you' refers to one person, use `self.' For more than one person, use `selves.'

We stopped talking and looked at each other. We stopped talking and looked at  ourselves .

Here I am looking at the other person and the other person is looking at me. If we say: We looked at ourselves, we were probably looking in a mirror.
